What is ableism?

Ableism is a form of discrimination or social prejudice against people with disabilities. It can manifest in a variety of ways, such as through discriminatory policies or practices, negative attitudes or stereotypes, or a lack of accessibility or accommodations for people with disabilities. Ableism can affect people with a wide range of physical, sensory, cognitive, or mental disabilities, and can exclude them from full participation in society. It is often linked to broader issues of inequality and social justice.
